MANDREL TYPE ERECTOR*


Operating principle:
1 - Transfer of die-cut blank from magazine

2 - Convey die-cut blank under mandrel
3 - Gluing of die-cut blank during transfer
4 - Erection of die cut blank around mandrel
5 - Pressing manufacturer's joint and four bottom flaps
6 - Ejection of formed box

Protection of box corners = higher box compression



CASE N°1: R.S.C. (Regular Slotted Case)

Corner slots are weak points
180° bending on 2 corners and random squaring
Crushing of manufacturing joint
Relatively high standard deviations
=> B.C.T. not optimized <=



CASE N°2: 4-sided box - die-cut blank
Formed around a mandrel (Otor Systems technology)

4 panels boox

Accurate positioning of slots in corners
90° bending on 4 corners and perfect squaring
No crushing of flat bed die-cut blank
Low standard deviations on B.C.T
=> B.C.T. optimized (up to 15% / R.S.C.) <=



CASE N°38-sided box - die-cut blank
Formed around a mandrel (Otor Systems technology)

8 panels box

Accurate positioning of slots in corners
45° bending on 8 corners and perfect squaring
No crushing of flat bed die-cut blank
Low standard deviations on B.C.T.
=> B.C.T. optimized (Up to 50% / R.S.C.) <=
